New Year in London

New Year's Eve we went to London to watch the fireworks. A quarter of a million people flooded this area of London. We got there 9pm, so we waited 3 hours, just standing there. Since the roads were closed, that's the best vantage point we could find so di na kami umalis dun. Then 10:30pm, super dami na tao, some of them couldn't see the London eye, us kahit papano kita pa namin half of London eye. Nagbaon ako ng sandwich and hot chocolate. Always ready...people were looking at us kasi sila uhaw at giniginaw...kami we're drinking hot choco, and eating biko pa for pudding hehehe. At midnight, it was all worth it!!! 10 minutes of spectacular fireworks. Going home was a nightmare though. So I'm not doing it again :)

Christmas in London

This is my Christmas. Even though I was sick and dying, I think I still look cute in these photos.....hehehehe....may magre react?

And when I was feeling a bit better, I managed to visit some friends for late Christmas lunch and dinner

Black Nazareno Feast

I, Osh, Nanay, Mamerts, Kylix, and Gab went to Quiapo early morning to attend a mass and watch the marching bands. We thought of going there via jeep as we might not be able to find a parking space but, of course, it is much more comfortable to be in a private car. Fortunately, we were able to park inside San Sebastian compound. From Baste, we walked to the Quiapo church in an attempt to hear mass there but it was so jampacked, we just managed to stay outside the church. We could have stayed even just outside if only it was not raining and the kids (Kylix and Gab) were not with us! So, we went back to San Sebastian to finally have the mass!

P.S. Nanay and Mamerts even had to "patol" the people there pa because nga of many people siksikan, everybody are so mainit ulo! Duh!

New Year's Evening

We got home at 4.30 in the morning New Year's Day. We slept until 11am and went back to Taipei.

In the evening we strolled into the most popular nightmarket in TAipei called Shilin nightmarket.

mashed potato flavored with melted cheese....we had to wait in line to get one of these..Actually my own version of mashed potato is out of this world.
